Generals Club of the Slovak Republic Committee under leadership of the deputy head , Maj. Gen. (Retd.) František Blanárik, organized the military – historical tour and extended Generals Club meeting on October 25 – 26, 2008. Krosno – Wrocanka – Machnúvka – Kobylany – and spot height 534 (Dukla) tour reminded the attendants about historical events. They laid wreaths at the war memorial in remembrance of soldiers killed in the battle of Dukla. Guided by the director of Dukla museum in Svidník, Mr. Rodák, they were acquainted with the battle of September 8 – 15, 1944.

    Subsequent extended meeting of the Club members was aimed at
   cooperation development and signing the agreement between Generals’ Club of the Slovak Republic and International Ukrainian Veterans Association
   discussing the activities for the next year and drafting the 2009 plan and also solving the Club matters.

    Generals’ Club meeting was attended by the rector of the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš, Brig. Gen. Assoc. Prof. Dipl. Eng. Miroslav Kelemen, Ph.D.
