Religious service was held on October 22, 2008 in Armed Forces Academy. On the occasion of the first official visit to the Armed Forces Academy the evangelical bishop MA Miloš Klátik, Ph.D. served in Academy chapel.

    In his first speech he announced his appointment to the position of General Chaplain of the Slovak Armed Forces Ecumenical and Pastoral Service, expounded the mission of pastoral service in defence department, preached about the soldier and their exploits written in Bible and stressed that military is not viewed in negative light. The bishop expressed a seriousness of the military service with the words "the military professionals by conscientious performing their duties and giving the helping hand allow the people to live in harmony and godliness".
