The 27th International Student Conference "SECOSAFT 2022" took place in Romania at the Land Forces Academy in SIBIU from April 7th till 9th 2022.

    

    The conference was attended by students from 13 countries, mostly from Europe, including 4 students from Armed Forces Academy of gen. M. R. Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš, Slovakia.

    

    Our students have achieved extraordinary success in a large competition of more than 338 competing scientific papers and excellently represented Slovakia and our academy.

    The award went to:

• 3rd year students from the AFA - Department of Mechanical Engineering (study program Weapon Systems, Weapons and their Parts) who competed in the TECHNICAL SCIENCES section:
  • cadet Jakub Handzilko, won the 1st place with the competition work "Unmanned Screw Drive Vehicle" where he presented an unconventional prototype of an unmanned vehicle
  • cadet Jakub Kolečár, won the 3rd place, with the competition work "Creation of 3D Model of PT-Mi-Ba-III in CAD", in which he presented a model of an anti-personnel mine with a mine igniter in a CAD environment using 3D printing
  • cadet Matúš Jurkovič, who had a similar and also very interesting work on mine issues almost reached the podium
• 4th year student from the AFA - Department of Informatics (study program Military Communication and Information Systems)
  • cadet Bianca Badidová, who became the absolute winner of this international conference and was awarded the highest rector's prize "AWARD OF EXCELLENCE". In her work "Applications of Neural Networks in Data Communication Analysis" she presented the application of neural networks in data analysis.
