On October 9 – 10, 2008 the
European partnership of Airforce Associations organized the symposium
which took place at École Militaire in Paris. Rector of the Armed Forces
Academy, Brig Gen Assoc. Prof. Miroslav Kelemen, Ph.D. has actively participated
in this event by delivering the briefing on „Cultural change of
the education and training system of military pilot for Slovakia“
based on the experience gained from the Air Force reorganization resulting
in transformation of Air Force institutions and improvement of aviation
personnel education and training in order to reach the NATO a EÚ standards.
The experts discussed the issues presented in particular briefings and
helped to define future requirements on aviation personnel education and
training aimed at improvement of Air Force personnel interoperability
in joint operations.
The seminar was presided over by the president
of EPAA, André Geoffroy, and attended by the representatives of the Air
Force, military educational institutions, aviation scientific, research
and development department and aviation industry of the countries engaged
in EPAA.
EPAA has been founded by Belgium, France, Germany
and Italy. Nowadays EPAA associates the Airforce Associations of Europe,
the United States and Canada. The partnership has been based on the Concept
of European Security and Defence regulating also the Air Force of the
EPAA members.
