ISOC 6 starts
 
    The sixth International Staff Officers’ Course (ISOC) Opening Ceremony was held at the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Stefanik (AFA) on 28 March 2011 with participation of high representatives from AFA - Brigadier General Miroslav Kelemen (Rector), Assoc. Prof. Dipl. Eng. Pavel Bučka, Ph.D. (Vice-Rector for Education) and Mr. Michal Chlebec (Director of Lifelong Education Centre).

    The ISOC-6 course will attend 11 officers in the ranks of 1st Lieutenant and Captain from 7 NATO and PfP countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia Germany, Moldova, Ukraine and Slovakia.

    The aim of eleven weeks course is to enhance and develop the theoretical knowledge of participants followed by practical application during the final exercises in order to increase their interoperability within multinational environment. The programme of the course will be enriched by guest speakers’ presentations from Netherlands and Slovakia.

    The ISOC-6 will run until 2 June 2011. AFA is recognized as one of the 20 PfP Training and Education Centres (PTC) which provide military preparation within international community.
