The 9th International Staff
Officers' Course (ISOC) started at the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský
Mikuláš on the 6th September 2012.
The ISOC 9 was opened by rector of Armed Forces
Academy Brigadier General Assoc. Prof. Boris ĎURKECH Ph.D. During the
opening speech he highly appreciated organizing of the International course
at the Armed Forces Academy and he highlighted that welfare of the ISOC
student has a part in the course curriculum.
There are 16 officers in ranks of First Lieutenant,
Captain and Major from Albania, Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia,
Moldova, Ukraine and Slovakia who are attending ISOC 9. All students and
the ISOC staff share the idea that the course here in the Armed Forces
Academy (recognized as one of 23 PfP Training and Educational Centres)
is a next step in their professional military carrier within the NATO
and PfP community.
During upcoming eleven weeks students will have
a chance to enhance and develop their theoretical knowledge and prove
them by practical application during the final exercises in order to increase
their interoperability within multinational environment.
The ISOC 9 will be finished on the 15th of November
2012.
