The Armed Forces Academy
organized Commander’s Intelligence and Operations Course conducted by
the Mobile Education and Training Team (METT) from the NATO School in
Oberammergau from 26th to 30th November 2012. 31 officers from the Slovak
Armed Forces took a part in the course.
The main aim of the course was to deeply understand
the relationships between an intelligence staff and an operations staff
and a commander within multinational environment as well how the products
provided by intelligence staff fit to decision making process of the commander
during the planning and conducting of a particular operation.
The course was organized in a close cooperation
between METT from the NATO School Oberammergau and the Lifelong Education
Centre whose director Mr. Michal CHLEBEC was presented at the closing
ceremony. Expeditionary Intelligence Training Program Director LTC Richard
Ellis appreciated the assistance of all involved and expressed his hope
for further co-operation.
