The 10th International Staff
Officers’ Course, held in the Armed Forces Academy, (recognized PfP Training
Center) was successfully finished on the 13th of June 2013.
Twenty officers from ten NATO and PfP countries
(Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Estonia, the Former Yugoslav Republic of
Macedonia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Russian Federation, Serbia, Ukraine and
Slovakia) took part in the training to be able to work , plan and conduct
military operations within multinational environment.
The closing ceremony was attended by Brigadier
General Assoc. Prof. Boris Ďurkech, Ph.D.(Rector of the Armed Forces Academy
of general Milan Rastislav Štefánik, Commander of PFP Training and education
centre), General Director of the Section of the human resources of the
Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic Doctor (of Laws) Eleonóra Kišová,
Chief of Operations Staff of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of
the Slovak Republic Brigadier General Jindřich Joch, Vice – Rector for
Education Assoc. Prof. Dipl. Eng. Jozef Puttera, CSc., Vice – Rector for
Science Assoc. Prof. Dipl. Eng. Marcel Harakaľ, Ph.D., Lieutenant Colonel
Jozef Wesselényi (Commandant of the International Staff Officers’ Course),
Defense Attache of Azerbaijan Lieutenant Colonel Kamil Guliyev and Deputy
Military Attache of the Russian Federation Colonel Oleg Afanasiev.
They congratulated to all graduates after successful
accomplishment of the course. The best student in the course, mjr. Ján
Gajdoš from Czech Republic was awarded by the ISOC Commandant LtCol Jozef
Wesselényi.
