The International Staff Officers'
Course (ISOC 11) officially started by opening ceremony ,on the 9th of
September 2013 within the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš.
The course was opened by rector of Armed Forces
Academy Brigadier General Assoc. Prof. Boris ĎURKECH Ph.D who highly appreciated
organizing of the International course at the Armed Forces Academy and
highlighted the need of the course for their future military career .
There are 20 officers in ISOC 11 in ranks of First
Lieutenant, Captain and Major from Azerbaijan, Czech Republic, Georgia,
Germany, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine
and Slovakia who will enhance their military cabalitities in order to
work within multinational environment.
The exercises will be focused on decision making
and planning of defensive and offensive operations. Since the Armed Forces
Academy is one of the 24 Partnership Training Centers within NATO, the
general idea of the course is to increase the interoperability within
the NATO and PfP Countries concerning to training and education.
The ISOC 11 will finish on the 14th of November
2013.
