The International Staff Officers' Course (ISOC 14) was officially opened by rector of Armed Forces Academy, Brigadier General Assoc. Prof. Boris Ďurkech Ph.D, on the 13th of April 2015 within the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš. The opening ceremony was also attended by Vice Rector for Science Assoc. Prof. Dipl. Eng. Marcel Harakaľ, PhD., Vice Rector for Education Assoc. Prof. Dipl. Eng. Jozef Puttera, Csc., and Colonel Dr. Jozef Kuca who was invited to talk about the standard precautions in health care.

    This course is attended by 18 officers in ranks of First Lieutenant, Captain and Major from Armenia, Czech Republic, Germany, Moldova, Mongolia, Ukraine and Slovakia.

    ISOC is an international project supported by Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of the Netherlands based on the previous course – the JSOC (or Junior Staff Officers’ Course) held in Armed Forces Academy from 2002 to 2007.

    The ISOC 14 will finish on the 18th of June 2015.
