Seminar on RF Technology at the Department of Electronics
The National Instruments (NI) Company in cooperation with the Department of Electronics organized the seminar named “RF Seminar” which was focused on radio frequency applications by using the Software Defined Radios (SDRs). The NI Company introduced the technology of the SDRs from their product line and presented the information about their utilization in military electronic systems like radars, radio communication systems, rocket systems, and signal intelligence systems. During the seminar, teachers and students had a chance to receive information on the ways how digital signal processing algorithms are realized by using the National Instruments SDRs. Several demos were presented including the technology of LTE, OFDM, MIMO, GNNS, and also emulation of the video in mobile radio networks by using the NI SDR and software LabView.
Students of the Department of the Electronics had a chance to use some of the SDR during their study in the study program “Electronic weapon systems” and for their own student projects.
