Science and Technology Week in the the Departmet of Electronics
As a part of the Science and Technology Week organized by the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik, the Department of Electronics carried out the presentations of laboratories and their equipment. During this activity, students had a chance to get acquainted with equipment of the “Signal intelligence and signal processing laboratory” which is equipped by modern software defined receivers (WinRadio) and software defined radios ETTUS USRP. In addition, several categories of digital signal processors (Analog Devices and Texas Instruments), used during the courses and for their bachelor and diploma thesis, were presented.

Probably the most interesting part of the presentations was carried out outside Department of Electronics where students could see mini UAVs, which are the part of the technical equipment of the Department. Students came to know how these mini UAVs can be programmed and controlled by RC flight controllers. In conclusion, students could try to fly with these mini UAVs.

That goes without saying, that laboratories of the Department of Electronics and their technical equipment are available to students for their education in study programs “Electronic Weapon Systems” and “Electronic Systems” and also for their student projects and preparation for their future military carrier in Armed Forces of the Slovak republic.
